A Comparative Study on Intrauterine Fetal Weight and Actual Birth Weight

Abstract
|
|
|
To evaluate whether there are any correlation between intrauterine fetal weights and actual birth weight, One hundred and twenty six iinfants of 38 to 42 week's gestation were observed from last prenatal visiting to immediate postnatal
assessment.
@ES In summary, the following can be stated:
@EN Intrauterine fetal weights ere 2,662 -468 gm, and mean± SD were 3323.1±29.0 (gm).
Actual birth weights were 2,500 -4,300 gm, and mean ± SD were 3,360±404.3(gm).
Errors between weights are 0 - 1105 gm, and mean ± SD of errors were 211.7 ± 162.0 gm. 27.8% of errors were 0 -100 gm, and 27.0% wee 100 -200 gm, 19.8% were 201-300 gm.
Actual birth weights were significantly correlated with sex(p=.008) but not with any other variable.
Correlation between weights were highly significant(r=.7580).
Early fetal weight prediction may be improve perinatal nursing intervention.
